Meet Nimbus

Nimbus is one of the loveliest horses you will ever meet and is a true gentleman to handle. Nimbus is happily living life in the slow lane and is so laid back for a big horse. He truly adores people and any kind of attention and will stand for hours to be pampered by any member of the family no matter how experienced they are. Nimbus will make a lovely addition to someone's family, and we know he will be adored by everyone as he has the most gentle, endearing temperament. Nimbus is looking for a companion home with other horses of a similar size as he does become quite grumpy with his field mates if his grazing is overly restricted. He is a sociable chap when out in the field and is usually grooming one of his field mates so does love company. Nimbus has been an ongoing rehabilitation case and had lameness issues on arrival at the farm; he unfortunately did not stay sound or comfortable in ridden work and is much happier as a companion. He is very much loving life out of work and is so much jollier and enthusiastic to spend time with. Nimbus is well behaved for both the vet and farrier and will always speak to any visitors that visit the farm, he definitely enjoys all the fuss and attention. He is currently living out full time with a group of geldings but may require a turnout rug during the winter months. Once settled into a new home Nimbus may be suitable to be left in a stable whilst his field mates were out being ridden; if he has food in front of him, he is quite happy. We are sure that the first person to meet Nimbus will fall in love with him. If you think you could offer this handsome gelding a new home, please apply online.

Important stuff

Nimbus can never be ridden or driven.

All equines in our centres are regularly assessed by a team of experts including a vet, physiotherapist and farrier, and these assessments have found that Nimbus is not suitable to be worked.

History

Nimbus came into World Horse Welfare care in January 2023 with one other pony as a legacy case.
