India
Meet India
India was a completely unhandled foal at foot when he first arrived at Hall Farm. Since then he has been on a steep learning curve which he is coping with well but at only 1 years of age he, understandably, still has lots to learn. India has a laid back attitude but when he is faced with something he is unsure of he will sometimes plant himself and refuse to move. We feel this is an insecurity reaction so it is important not to put too much pressure on him. With this in mind India will require an understanding home with experience of youngsters to help him grow in confidence. India is generally good with his basic handling and he is proving to be a typically inquisitive and curious youngster. Overall India is a sweet natured boy who mixes well in his herd. India may have the potential to be backed in the future, if his rehomer has previous experience of this. This will also depend on how he develops, and not until he is at least 5 years old. India could reach approximately 14.2hh to 15.0hh. This, however, is only an estimate as we have no knowledge of his breeding. At this height, India would have a maximum rider weight limit of 10 stones. We are equally happy for India to find a home as a non-ridden companion only. As India was recently castrated it would be wise if he shares with geldings only until his hormones have settled down.
Important stuff
