Rodney
Meet Rodney
***Due to an infection at Penny Farm rehoming is currently suspended as our horses will not be able to leave the premises until we have been given the all clear. You are welcome to apply online, however there may be some delay in our team getting back to you***. Rodney is ready to find a new home as a non ridden companion. He is a friendly little pony, but quite a cheeky chap and needs a home with someone who has experience of handling strong willed ponies. He is better suited to a home where he will be around and handled by adults only as he needs clear, concise and regular handling . Rodney would benefit from being in a home where he will have continual groundwork to keep his mind occupied. He has been bitted and enjoys being taken out for in-hand walks for a change of scenery. He gets on well with others and is currently living out, but will come into a stable. He is good to catch, groom, bath and for the vet and farrier with a confident handler. Rodney has sweetitch which is managed with a Boet rug and topical treatments when needed. If you can offer Rodney a home, please apply online.
Important stuff
Rodney can never be ridden or driven.
All equines in our centres are regularly assessed by a team of experts including a vet, physiotherapist and farrier, and these assessments have found that Rodney is not suitable to be worked.
History
Rodney came into Penny Farm in December 2020 at only 5 months old, he was found alone, living in a dirty stable in an allotment.
