Violet
Meet Violet
Violet is a sweet natured mare who is easy to do and loves a bit of fuss and attention. She was successfully rehomed for several years and only returned due to a change in her rehomers circumstances. She is now looking for a new home as a non-ridden companion. Violet currently lives out 24/7 in a herd of mares but may be turned out with a gelding if introduced gradually. She must have restricted grazing as she is very prone to weight gain. Violet is happy to be stabled for short periods of time although prefers to be out. She does like company so a home where she is not left on her own and is with others who require similar grazing management would be perfect.
Important stuff
Violet can never be ridden or driven.
All equines in our centres are regularly assessed by a team of experts including a vet, physiotherapist and farrier, and these assessments have found that Violet is not suitable to be worked.
History
Violet came in to World Horse Welfare care in June 2012 with several other mares as part of a prosecution case.
