Meet Ralph

Ralph is ready to rehome as a non ridden companion, as he unfortunately didn't withstand ridden work due to mild arthritis in his hocks. He is a lovely, friendly natured pony who loves a fuss and pamper, and loves greeting all the visitors to the farm. He gets on very well with others, and is currently living out in a bald field with a group of geldings. Ralph has had laminitis in the past, so it is important that he has his grazing restricted and weight managed all year round. He is good for the vet & farrier and to handle, but just needs a little treat to be caught, as he can be a little shy. If you can offer Ralph a home, please apply online.

Important stuff

Ralph can never be ridden or driven.

All equines in our centres are regularly assessed by a team of experts including a vet, physiotherapist and farrier, and these assessments have found that Ralph is not suitable to be worked.

History

Ralph was born at Penny Farm on 22/03/2013, his mother Tiggy was part of a welfare case. Tiggy has been rehomed as a lovely Pleasure Competition pony.
