Meet Albon

Hansome Albon is ready to find his new home as a non-ridden companion. When Albon arrived at Belwade her was very underweight, and despite his friends being a little shy he was always one of the bold ones, and that has not changed. Albon is often seen running around playing with his friends having a whale of a time and he is hoping to find a young likeminded friend. He is very good to catch and lead and he will happily stand to have a groom and some cuddles. Albon is good for the farrier but can be tentative with the vet when getting injections, so he is looking for someone who is confident in dealing with horses that are unsure of needles. As well as playful friends, Albon will be looking for a home with friends who need their grazing restricted in the summer months, but can take a little more food in the winter. Important stuff

Albon can never be ridden or driven.

All equines in our centres are regularly assessed by a team of experts including a vet, physiotherapist and farrier, and these assessments have found that Albon is not suitable to be worked.

History

Albon came into Belwade farm as part of a large welfare case of ponies in April 2023. He was unhandled and entire on arrival; he has since been gelded at the farm and undergone his rehabilitation.
