Meet Merribridge Victory

Victor is ready to rehome as a youngster for handling with the potential to be backed to ride when he is four years old or older. Victor came into us entire and with a very matted coat, which had to be clipped off in stages. He was gelded shortly after arriving with us but still shows a lot of interest in mares, so we are looking for a home where he will be turned out with geldings only and where there are no other mares in neighbouring fields. Victor would be best suited to a home with an experienced and confident handler who has had experience of working with younger/more confident ponies. With a confident handler, he is good to catch, handle, groom, bath and for the vet and farrier. He gets on well with others, but can be a little pushy within the herd, so would benefit being with older horses to help guide him. He has the potential to make a little ridden pony once he is old enough (4 years or older) but in the mean time would benefit from inhand work, such as agility, or inhand walks. His ideal set up would be a small yard with geldings only where he can be kept in a good routine, with adult only handlers for the time being. He will need his weight watching as he gets older, so a home with equines of similar needs would be ideal. If you can offer Victor a home, please apply online.
