Meet Four O'Clock Trot (Gus)

Big man Gus is now looking for his new home as a non-ridden companion. Gus is a sweet older gentleman who will often come over chatting to the grooms on morning checks. He enjoys coming in for a groom and a pamper and is well behaved for our farrier. When Gus arrived, he was quite uncertain of vets and was reactive to needles, something we feel was exacerbated by the stress of a new environment. Since then his groom has been doing some clicker training with him and he has become a lot more confident with his recent vet visits. Due to this Gus is looking for someone who can continue building his confidence in new situations and with receiving injections. Gus was very underweight on arrival which we believe led to him having some food aggression towards other horses when being fed. This has since reduced and now he will just put his ears back if any of his friends try and sneak up on him when he is having his delicious snacks. In his new home Gus will be looking for friends who also need a little extra food throughout the winter months and who do not need their grazing restricted in the summer months. If you think you can offer Gus a home, please apply online.
