Meet Tannachie Bladerunner

Handsome boy Blade is now looking for a home as a non-ridden companion. Blade is a sweet, sensitive boy who is looking for friends with a similar nature as he is easily bullied, especially around food. Blade loves to come in for a pamper session and a cuddle with his groom and is well behaved for the vet and farrier. He can need some reassurance at times when put in new situations but responds well to confidence given by his handler. Blade can live out all year round and is looking for a home with a field shelter, as he does not like being stabled. Blade will mix well with mares and geldings who also need their weight monitoring in the summer, as he can gain weight easily. With time we think that Blade could potentially cope with being left alone whilst his companion is out riding for example, as long as he could see other horses over a fence. Tannachie Bladerunner can never be ridden or driven.

All equines in our centres are regularly assessed by a team of experts including a vet, physiotherapist and farrier, and these assessments have found that Tannachie Bladerunner is not suitable to be worked.

History

Blade came into our care in 2024 after his owner contacted us to ask for help.
