Meet Grovehouse Phoenix

Sweet Phoenix is now looking for a new home as a non-ridden companion. When Phoenix arrived with us she was very timid and was not keen on being caught. After having some time to settle and allowing her time to create a bond with her groom, Phoenix is now much happier to be caught. She does, however, still require a sweet or two if she is feeling unsettled. Phoenix is looking for a home that is relatively quiet where not much changes day to day. She requires someone who is happy to take the time to create a bond with her and understand it may take her a little time to settle into her new environment. She is good for our vet and farrier but as with all new things she can take a little bit of time to get to know them. Phoenix is a good doer so will need a home with friends who are also on restricted grazing. She did get a small clip this winter, with a set of quiet clippers, to help aid her in her weight loss. She enjoys living out all year round but can be brought into a stable for short periods of time if need be, although she much prefers being outside. If you think you can offer Phoenix a home to live out her golden years, please apply online.

Important stuff

Grovehouse Phoenix can never be ridden or driven.

All equines in our centres are regularly assessed by a team of experts including a vet, physiotherapist and farrier, and these assessments have found that Grovehouse Phoenix is not suitable to be worked.

History

Phoenix came into our care in 2024 after her owner contacted us to ask for help.
