Meet Valerie (Phoebe)

Phoebe is ready to rehome as a non ridden companion. She had a filly foal last year who was weaned in the New Year and Phoebe has since been enjoying a well deserved rest in the field. She is a lovely mare, who is good to catch, handle, groom and for the vet and farrier. She gets on well with others, and tends to be in the middle of the pecking order. She quite prefers the quieter life, so tends to keep away from any trouble. She is currently living out with shelter within a group of mares, but will come into a stable as part of a routine. She doesn't like being left on her own, so will require a home where she will have the company of another equine at all times. If you can offer Phoebe a home, please apply online.

All equines in our centres are regularly assessed by a team of experts including a vet, physiotherapist and farrier, and these assessments have found that Valerie (Phoebe) is not suitable to be worked.

History

Phoebe came into Penny Farm after she was abandoned. She was underweight and in foal. She had a healthy filly foal last year.
