Meet Skye

Skye is ready to rehome as a non ridden companion. He is a lovely little pony with a very friendly personality. He gets on incredibly well with others and just wants to be everyone's friend. He's always there to welcome any new members of the herd. Skye is best suited to a home where he will be turned out with geldings only, as he shows a bit too much interest in mares when turned out with them. He is good to catch, groom, lead, and for the vet. He can be a little bit of a fidget with the farrier and when being bathed as he doesn't like to stand still in one spot for too long, but he will do anything for treats. Skye needs his weight watching, especially in the summer months, so a home with equines of similar needs would be best. Skye will stay on his own in a stable while another horse is taken out, this would just need to be introduced gradually in a new home. If you can offer Skye a home, please apply online.
Important stuff
Skye can never be ridden or driven.
All equines in our centres are regularly assessed by a team of experts including a vet, physiotherapist and farrier, and these assessments have found that Skye is not suitable to be worked.
History
Skye came into Penny Farm after his owner asked for help as he was struggling to care for him.
