Meet Penlangrug The Defender

Defender was one of 26 equines cruelly crammed into a lorry to be illegally exported from the UK. He was barely 6 months old and a terrified little chap who could not be touched by humans. With love and care he has quickly turned into a lovely little pony who is good to handle for his age. Due to his new found confidence, and his age, he will require a handler who has experience with young horses to continue his education. Defender is sociable in the herd although he is quite submissive with stronger personalities and avoids conflict. Defender may have the potential to be backed to ride in the future if his rehomer has experience of this although we are equally happy for him to remain purely as a non-ridden companion to another. Defender may reach approximately 14.0hh when mature but this is only an estimate as we have no information on his breeding. This would give him a maximum rider weight limit of 8.5 to 9 stones..
