Meet Jack

Jack is a lovable boy who relishes attention. He is very inquisitive and likes to know what is going on. Considering how young he is and the fact he was virtually unhandled on arrival at Hall Farm, he is a very good boy, however, he will still require an experienced handler to continue his education due to his age. Jack gets on well with most of his herd and usually finds himself in the middle of the pecking order. Jack may have the potential to be backed to ride in the future, although this will depend very much on how he develops as he matures and not before he is at least 5 years old. Jack could grow to approximately 14.2hh but this is very much an estimate at this stage as we do not know any of his breeding. Jack benefits from having sunscreen applied to his nose and eye areas in sunny weather to protect him from getting sunburn. For the next few years he just needs to enjoy being a horse and companion to others. As Jack was recently castrated it would be wise if he shares with geldings only until his hormones have settled down.

Important stuff

Jack could be worked in the future.

History

Jack was from a group of horses known as "the Dover 26" who were crammed into a lorry to be cruelly and illegally smuggled out of the UK.
