Handsome gelding Cherry is now ready to rehome as a non ridden companion due to having a heart murmur. He is a lovely horse, but was quite anxious on arrival because he hadn't been handled properly and had been shut in a stable for some time. He is a friendly lad, but takes a lot of reassurance and guidance from his handler, so we are looking for an adult only home with an experienced handler. His ideal set up would be a private yard with a few other horses, where he wouldn't be left alone. He will come into a stable, but this needs to be part of a routine. Cherry will need time to settle in to a new home and new routine, but once he has got used to his new surroundings, he is a lovely lad to deal with. He has been turned out with mares and geldings, but does get on better with geldings. Cherry is good to catch, lead, groom and for the vet and farrier once he is used to them. He requires his grazing restricted in the summer months. Cherry must be collected in a minimum of a 7.5 tonne lorry or bigger, as he gets too worried travelling in anything smaller. He has a few sarcoids which haven't changed since arriving with us and cause him no problems. If you can offer Cherry a home, please apply online.
