Meet King Arthur

King Arthur is ready to rehome as a non ridden companion due to not standing up to ridden work. He is a friendly pony who enjoys coming in to be groomed and fussed over. Arthur is currently living out unrugged with shelter, but will happily come into a stable. He is good to catch, handle, groom, bath, and for the vet and farrier. Arthur shows a little too much interest in mares so can only be turned out with geldings. He gets on well with other horses but can be a little bossy if extra forage is put into the fields but is fine with others when out on grass. He does need to have his grazing restricted and weight watching all year round so would be best suited to a home with equines of similar needs. Arthur has the potential to be left on his own in a stable when another pony is taken out, but this would need to be introduced gradually. If you can offer Arthur a home, please apply online.
Important stuff
King Arthur can never be ridden or driven.
All equines in our centres are regularly assessed by a team of experts including a vet, physiotherapist and farrier, and these assessments have found that King Arthur is not suitable to be worked.
History
Arthur came into Penny Farm after he had been found shut in a stable. He was overweight, with over grown feet and suffering from leg mites.
