Meet Dusty

Dusty is a bonny wee mare who is ready to find a new home as a companion. Dusty came into Belwade farm in 2023 with one other pony as a welfare concern. She was a driving pony when she was younger but is now enjoying her retirement and very much loving life as a pampered companion. Dusty is a lovely straight forward pony who is sensible for all of her handling. She is calm to catch and lead in, always being slow and steady. Dusty enjoys nothing more than coming in to be fussed over by her groom and is usually in for a while as she has an impressive mane and tail to brush through! She does get quite attached to her friends and can become stressed if left alone in the field. Dusty can at times put her ears back to warn other horses off. Due to her type, she will need her weight monitored and grazing restricted when needed. If you think that Dusty sounds like the right pony to join your ponies, we would love to hear from you.
Important stuff
Dusty can never be ridden or driven.
All equines in our centres are regularly assessed by a team of experts including a vet, physiotherapist and farrier, and these assessments have found that Dusty is not suitable to be worked.
History
Dusty came into with one other horse when her owner was no longer able to care for her. Dusty was a driving pony when she was younger but is now retired.
