Meet Badenscoth S.B. Wanda

Wanda is simply the cutest little skewbald Shetland you could ever meet. She is very sweet natured and is enjoying her golden years out in the field with her best friend Fergal. Wanda and Fergal came into Belwade Farm together and we are looking for a home where they can stay together as we do not have the heart to separate them. They never leave each other’s side and are just the most adorable wee pair of Shetlands, you never see one tootling around without the other. Wanda behaves very well for the farrier and will stand for the vet, although she doesn’t like injections. She is an independent wee mare who likes her own space. Wanda will need her grazing restricted and weight monitored over the summer months but due to her age can take more grazing over the winter. The Shetlands would not be suitable to live with larger ponies but do enjoy the company of our other ponies their own size. All equines in our centres are regularly assessed by a team of experts including a vet, physiotherapist and farrier, and these assessments have found that Badenscoth S.B. Wanda is not suitable to be worked.

History

Wanda came into World Horse Welfare care in October 2021 with one other Shetland.
