Meet Morwen

Lovely Morwen is ready to go to her new home as a non-ridden companion. Morwen is a sweet natured, laid back pony who lives life in the slow lane, enjoying nothing more than standing for hours having a good groom with some snacks. She is very easy to handle in all ways and is well behaved for the vet, farrier and dentist. She does have mallanders & sallenders but this is easily kept on top of with some pig oil and cream. Morwen will be looking for a home with friends who are also kept on restricted grazing as she gains weight very easily. Due to this Morwen had a little clip this winter, which she was very well behaved for. She has also been going out for short in hand walks, which her rehomer could continue, to help aid with her weight loss. Morwen lives out 24/7 but can be stabled if needed and could, if introduced to it slowly, be left alone with food whilst her friend was being ridden. Important stuff

Morwen can never be ridden or driven.

All equines in our centres are regularly assessed by a team of experts including a vet, physiotherapist and farrier, and these assessments have found that Morwen is not suitable to be worked.

History

Morwen came into Belwade Farm in February 2020 as one of a large welfare group of cob horses. The cobs were found living in extremely unsuitable conditions. The entire group were unhandled and nervous on arrival.
