We are pleased that our Chief Executive Roly Owers features in Sue Dyson’s fascinating new documentary Horses and the Science of Harmony.
The free-to-watch film, which has been released on YouTube, examines the nature of harmony between horse and rider.
Horses and the Science of Harmony tells the emotional story of Bubby Upton, a rising star in British 3-day eventing, who suffered a catastrophic spinal injury yet bravely fought to get back to doing what she loves – riding. In the film, Bubby’s story is woven alongside the latest science to foster greater understanding of how to improve equine welfare, while simultaneously asking the question ‘what is it about horses that speaks so strongly to our hearts?’
The documentary features experts in the field of equine neuroscience as well as equine veterinarians, behaviourists, researchers and Olympic riders, who all reflect on the concept of harmony between humans and horses.
